Over the past two weeks, we've had (for very short periods of time) the Sony Cybershot T100, W120, and H3. The T100 and W120 did not live up to our expectations - and although we were very pleased with the H3, the flash stopped working after only three days. When we returned the H3 - less than 1 week after purchasing it - we found out that the H3 was being discontinued due to the flash problem that we had encountered.
So yesterday evening we made a trip to Best Buy to try our luck for a fourth time at finding the right camera for us. The guy that helped us was very knowledgeable. When I told him what we were looking for, and that we would prefer a Sony Cybershot - he said that they had just received a shipment of the brand new Sony Cybershot H10, and they had not even been put on display yet. We tried it out in the store, really liked it, so we bought it - and it was definitely worth the wait! By what I can tell so far, it's a great camera - perfect for what we need it for.
Here are some shots I took this morning with the macro setting...
