I got home from the hospital yesterday evening, and everything went well.
Before the surgery, they did another gallbladder ultrasound. The ultrasound technician said that my gallbladder looked very "sick." I had also developed several more gallstones.
I went in for surgery about 9:30am, and was out of recovery back in my room by about 12:30. I have 4 small incisions, and am extremely sore but everything went well. I'm so glad that surgery is over, and I don't have to worry about gallbladder attacks anymore!
Depending on how I feel, I should be able to return to work sometimes next week after my follow-up appointment on Tuesday when I get the staples out.
