Seeing my shamrocks bloom always makes me think of Betty, Stevie's grandma that passed away nearly 3 years ago. Betty gave me these shamrocks after the last time that she got sick, before she went into the hospital.
She loved these little flowers, and commented frequently on how she liked to watch their green leaves close up each night as the sun went down and the air got cooler.
Seeing the shamrocks bloom always makes me think of her. I do miss her, and know that Stevie does too. She would have loved Wesley, and would have spoiled him beyond belief, I am sure. I hope that we can always keep her memory alive... through photos, memories, stories - and even through shamrocks.
