"Bwess my binky. Amen!"

Wesley always says a prayer before bedtime every night - it's the last thing we do before it's time to "close our eyes and go night night."

Wesley's prayer list is quite long, and gets longer each night - especially on nights that he isn't really sleepy when bedtime rolls around. Last night was one of THOSE nights when he wasn't ready for bed, so his prayer list included every person that he could think of - including all of his friends and teachers at school - and even included "dog" (the neighbor's dog that like to bark a lot). When he starting running out of people to name, he started saying "ummm... umm..." I finally said "Wesley, we're all finished now, it's time to say 'Amen.'"

He was quiet for a second and then quickly, and a bit sheepishly, said "Bwess my binky. Amen!" and rolled over on his tummy and closed his eyes.

Binky, is of course, what he calls his pacifier - which he still gets at naptime and bedtime. It was one of the most adorable things that I have ever heard him say - so cute!
